True 24/7 recording: Continuous, high-bitrate recording to an NVR with multi-TB storage is straightforward on PoE. (Wireless battery cams usually record motion events rather than 24/7.)

No subscriptions, single vendor stack: Platforms like Ubiquiti UniFi Protect are license-free with local storage, excellent if you want a centralized, scalable system.
